So, I keep hearing bodysuits are coming back ("Finally!', my girlfriend adds from across the room). Looking at this sheer body suit from Lise Charmel, you may wonder why they ever went away. True, you won't see this one worn to work as a top with jeans, but for a night out, imagine the floral accents peeking out from, say, a black or dark blue silk blouse.
Or later when the skirt or jeans are gone, how the rest of that sheerness will look when worn with just the blouse.. for awhile.

Ms. Sim-Wise is a blogger, gamer, writer on games for the U.K.'s Front Magazine, and contributes to G4, MTV, BBC radio and other networks dealing in all things bright, cool and nerd. And, as evidenced by this twitpic she recently sent of herself, she's also the only woman on the planet who can turn a Wonderbread wrapper into a bra and panties set this hot.

Some people are afflicted with Triskadekaphobia, thus thinking Friday the 13th to be highly unlucky. These same people think a black cat crossing their path is unlucky. I don't happen to be superstitious. To disprove this to you, and since it is indeed Friday the 13th of August, we'll add a beautiful black cat to the mix. Hopefully, you're wearing something special in celebration (and all those who insist commando is the way to go, go along just this once.. sort of like everyone being Irish on St. Patrick's Day).



The folks behind it, freshpair.com, are having their celebration on-line as opposed to taking over New York City's Times Square (above and below) as in years past (can't rain, no expensive NYC permits, parking's better, no one catches a cold, or gets arrested, right?) Considering we hold a celebration of lingerie and underwear on-line all the time, makes sense to us.



They also did a little research this year, and uncovered the following:

24% of American men have a lucky pair of underwear
40% of men prefer briefs and 10% boxers;
the rest either are wearing trunks, boxers briefs, thongs, or nothing

34% of American women match their bras to their panties
26% of women prefer bikini briefs
21% of women prefer briefs
21% of women prefer thongs
18% of women prefer boyshorts
4% of women prefer other styles
(so that's who's been buying bloomers..)

Another by-the-way: Heads up that the Christmas of the lingerie and underwear world is coming this Thursday.. OK, at least Christmas-In-August? It'll be the 8th Annual National Underwear Day! (Want to win free underwear? Click here to enter) Do prepare by planning to wear something special. From someone special, if you can manage it. My girlfriend and I recently did a week's vacation on the road, including much shopping for that-which-will-be-celebrated. We got each other packages of something special that we will not open until Thursday morning while getting dressed for work. Or, if our schedules permit, we may open them in each others' presence Wednesday evening.. meaning we'll probably both be calling in late to work Thursday morning..

Oh, breezy summer dresses, how I love you.

New cotton boyshorts today, and I hope you have a minute because there is a lot to tell. The front is a deep sky blue background with a pattern of rows of colored hearts (pink, orange, purple, light blue and spring green). The back is the same deep sky blue background, with thin horizontal stripes in the same colors of the hearts. The top and legs are bordered in spring green lace, and in the front, there is a tiny green ribbon bow on each hip. These are really comfy for the weekend, and since my dress has tiers, my panties don’t show through.

Hooray for Sundays and sunny yellow dresses. xox organdie jay
