L ingerie Blog Blog Makes It Three (Years)

Australian model Lara Bingle and friends in a photoshoot for Bare Lingerie seemed like a perfect illustration for the third(!) anniversary post for L ingerie Blog



Unlike a promotional campaign that featured Ms. Bingle , I don't think we have to ask where you are. This blog started as a hobby, based on the theory of you should be writing about what you know.. or would really like to know more about. Since one of my interests is lingerie, (happily shared by my girlfriend) and I'd ended up collecting a rather massive amount of amazing photos of models willingly showing it off, why not a blog?
Headed toward 600,000 hits, 1.2 million page views and 650 posts later, I'll pause to say Thank You again to you and any one else who has ever read these pages or commented on them.



Thanks to all the original scanners of some of the amazing pictures I've found while surfing (sometimes in the oddest of places, it seems) to the lingerie designers, to the other lingerie bloggers, (who I think honestly do far better blogs than mine, but they're an inspiration) and of course, the lovely ladies themselves. Believe it or not, there's still some pictures I've never gotten to of certain models (can you say 'Leah Dizon'?) that I've had dating before the start of fufL. Hopefully, I'll get to those as we start year four. Hopefully with even more traffic, hits, and comments for you and other readers. Hopefully, my girlfriend will *finally* even write at least one guest post?

The Truth? Nothing Ugly About Katherine Heigl In Panties

Katherine Heigl's new romantic comedy, The Ugly Truth, co-starring 300's Gerard Butler opens in the U.S. this Friday.



Guy presumed to be neanderthal slob meets stuck-up prig of a girl, teaches her to loosen up to get a guy.. gee, what do you think comes next in that plot?



Simple. He gets her down to her panties. Well, maybe not that simple. Then again, Ms. Heigl's character does seem to have a wardrobe malfunction at one point during an evening out..



How would you like to be the actor to our right in the background of the scene? 'Hey, we had a sound glitch, let's re-shoot your skirt coming off and flashing your knickers to the world for a 14th take, OK?' How much did he have to pay to be on that set?



I actually read a reference or two on-line where some thought her undies looked like granny panties. I'd beg to differ. It does make you wonder, though: would her character be more comfortable if she were deskirted and were wearing a bit more fabric below, or even more embarrassed that it wasn't a red or black lace thong, instead? Feel free to discuss in the Comments..



BTW, if the scene seems familiar, similar idea with Jessica Alba in Good Luck Chuck, much? Must be a an every-day, real-life occurrence? Again, any similar stories are welcome in the Comments..



To add insult to injury, was her valet ticket in the skirt pocket? (And, I'm not sure of the movie's setting, but only $3.50 for valet parking in a major city? Really?) I love the look she shoots to the camera in the last shot, though.

No, it's not buy one pair of panties and get the second half-price.* Looking at our last Blue Monday post, I was trying to see how we could almost accomplish the front and back view of the lady's undies (not to mention her nice barely-pantied ass) with one picture. There's your magic mirror, for you.

(*by the way, why is it a pair of panties when there's only one of them? OK, in fairness, I put that line there for one damned reason- Google or Bing it, and see how often it comes up; I'll take all the hits I can get..)
