Technically, Agent Provocateur calls the colors of its new Rizzi bra, panties and suspenders black and grey. Being it's my blog, the lady looks gorgeous in the ensemble, and it's a Monday, I'm exercising editorial privilege and calling it black and blue.
Objections..? Didn't think so..

Happy Halloween 2010
0 comments 6:40 AM Posted by TOPLabels: Asian, blue, boy cut, bra, bra straps, cotton, Halloween, Jess, Lingerie, Me In My Place, panties, pulling down, red, Superman, underwear
Look up in the sky-- Er, down in the bed.. uh, on the floor? OK, so who needs a phone booth to change into Superman these days? Which is good, considering much like the scene in the Christopher Reeve version, if you find one, it's likely not to have a booth with it. (Where I live, there's one payphone downtown, which is constantly vandalized).
I've mentioned the amount of lingerie and underwear finding its way into Halloween costumes theses day before, so why not just cut to the chase and combine the two? For the record, my girlfriend wouldn't dare go out like this, but after looking over this post did offer the opinion that I may just find something as superlative under her costume when we get home after the usual Halloween rounds this year. I say super, woman!
So, if you're not already going Gaga (as in Lady) or Flo, as we covered last year, think if it as Underoos for adults.

From Italy's Sielei, what they've termed their 'Sunny Removable Padded Bra' and matching lace bikini panties, in Violet Blue. Well, I'd hope it's removable once it's worn, otherwise there would be some severe disappointment no matter how great she looks wearing it.

Anything But 'Hopeless' - Happy Hunting
0 comments 11:40 AM Posted by TOPLabels: Adamidis, black, bra, bralette, Dominique, Evil Dead, Gabrielle, Gaby, Hopeless, Jo Duck, knickers, Lingerie, Lulu Wagstaffe, panties, red, silk, The Hunted, underwear
Unless they mean as in hopelessly beautiful, the small, hand-crafted lingerie maker from Melbourne Australia may be misnamed. Hopeless has made some of the more imaginative lingerie you'll find since sisters Gabrielle and Dominique Adamidis founded the label in August 2008. The above Cheryl black silk bra and silk knickers (amazing how much classier the term 'knickers' sounds while writing about this label) are from their new collection, or range as they call it, The Hunted.
^ The Ashley Silk-Satin Playsuit
You and I may find our inspiration in many places, but believe it or not, as explained in their wonderful blog, Spokes and Daggers, designer Gabrielle's inspiration for the collection came from director Sam Raimi's 'Evil Dead' and 'Evil Dead 2'
'I took inspiration from the evil force that races through the forest, the wood grain of the haunted log cabin and of buckets of blood featured in the films. These ideas were subtly woven into every piece - to create a collection that was both haunting and beautiful.'Umm.. OK, the lingerie is beautifully done, it works, so who am I to argue? It also explains why the pieces in the set had to be named Ashley, Cheryl and Linda..
^Linda Modal Jersey and Velvet Bralette
^ Ashley Chiffon and Silk Camisole
and matching Silk Side Tie Knickers v
I've been a fan of the brand since I first discovered their blog, and not that the other ranges weren't well down, but this one strikes both my girlfriend and I as their best yet. The only downsides? True, a bit pricey, but do you really expect originally designed hand-made silk lingerie for the price of a five-pack of panties at Wallyword or even Vicky's? Didn't think so. Also, it's not for day-to-day wear. However, if you're into building a serious (and seriously beautiful) collection on lingerie, check them out. At the very least, you'll be inspired.
As credited on the Spokes and Daggers blog, Photos are by Jo Duck, the lovely lady in them is model Lulu Wagstaffe, hair and makeup by Sarah Lea Cross, and an assist from Dominique.

Take Glee In Lingerie

Or, should that read, 'Take Glee, in Lingerie'? U.S. GQ's November 2010 issue devotes a page or two, and more than a Terry Richardson photograph or two to what they call Glee Gone Wild, as in actress Lea Michele above and below
This set: Vintage T-shirt from Melet Mercantile. Bra, Pout by Victoria's Secret. Panties by Calvin Klein Underwear and Socks by American Apparel.
Above Dianna Agron's bra from Pout by Victoria's Secret. Shorts by Spicy Girl from Patricia Field, N.Y.C., Lea's sweater by Michael Kors, Bra by Betsey Johnson, Skirt by American Apparel. Socks by Falke, and Cory Monteith's clothes by.. someone or other.. (hey, we're concerned with the ladies' lingerie here, OK? He should just be happy he got to be at this particular photo shoot..)
^Ms Agron's bra by Betsey Johnson, skirt by American Apparel, heels by Christian Louboutin, socks by Miu Miu. Ms. Michele's panties by American Apparel, heels by Christian Louboutin, socks by Hue.
Ms. Agron's bra by Victoria's Secret, heels by Yves Saint Lauren, Socks by Antipast. Ms. Michele's bra by Betsey Johnson. heels by Miu Miu and Socks by American Apparel. Mr. Monteith.. is a lucky SOB with a great view..
Dianna Agron's Cardigan and bra by Betsey Johnson. Skirt by A.P.C., Lea Michele's Bra and panties, Pout by Victoria's Secret. Socks by Falke. Heels by Michael Kors. Hands by Mr. Monteith.
In retropsect, It seems the cast's earlier Rolling Stone cover was just a tease of things to come (or, at least Ms. Michele's rigged panty flash was).
Hey, speaking of rip-offs, wonder where GQ got their headline?
Read the full article by Alex Pappademas here.
****
So, that's pretty much the post I wrote earlier this week for today. Since then, it seems some have taken notice of the GQ article, or more likely, Mr. Richardson's photographs of the cast (and poor Mr. Monteith may as well have been a hat rack as we - jokingly - treated him above for all the notice anyone is taking of his presence next to Ms. Agron and Michele). First, The Parent's Television Council had a hissy, but so did some parents of younger Glee fans.
Before all this, I hadn't really expected anyone to say all that much beside, 'Hot!' ..and maybe way too much makeup.
Dianna Agron and Lea Michele are both 24 years old, and Cory Monteith is 28 (hell, he's a bit older than me and he's playing a high school student? Meh, welcome to TV. Remind you of anyone else older who did the same not long ago?). And, have any of the critics, including the parents of those very young fans actually watched the show with those children? I wouldn't say those are all Disney-G-rated stories, nor did they ever pretend they were. TV Guide reported Dianna Agron's take on it from her blog:
'I understand that in today's world of advanced technology, the internet, our kids can be subject to very adult material at the click of a button,' she wrote. 'But there are parental locks, and ways to get around this.'
'If you are hurt or these photos make you uncomfortable, it was never our intention. And if your eight-year-old has a copy of our GQ cover in hand, again I am sorry. But I would have to ask, how on earth did it get there?'
What's your take? Comment away below..

Minka Kelly: Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive 2010
0 comments 9:01 PM Posted by TOPLabels: 2010, bikini, black, bra, Esquire, high heels, in bed, Lingerie, Minka Kelly, panties, red, Sexiest Woman Alive, skirt, underwear, white
Actress Minka Kelly grabs this year's honors from Esquire Magazine, and strips to various states of undress for their November 2010 issue.
Stripping may be in some way genetic for Ms. Kelly; in the interview with Ryan D'Agostino, she talks about her Mom's days stripping, late-night supermarket shopping after work with her as a kid, *not* getting cosmetic surgery causing her to be fired from a clerical job by an (un-named)Playboy centerfold, and ending up on Friday Night Lights.
v Keep looking in the mirror, Ms. Kelly. I don't think you'll see anywhere you could possibly have needed cosmetic surgery..
These days she's seen in Parenthood, though probably not quite as in the above photos by Yu Tsai

Although Enamore says they say they make 'green' underwear, I think they mean as in eco-friendly, like this definitely pink Pretty-In-Pink soft cup bra and shorts panties set, actually made with a bit of bamboo and cotton. Hope you enjoyed the week, and you remember to Think Pink not only in October, but all year.

From Bon-Prix's Wedding Collection, a semi-sheer lace bra and thong panties set in what Bon Prix says is Cream, but upon close examination (it's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it) it seems a pink cream, thus fitting with this week's theme.

Blue/Pink Monday 10 11 10
0 comments 9:03 PM Posted by TOPLabels: Biana, bikini, blue, Blue Monday, bra, breast cancer awareness month, fufL, Lingerie, Luca, panties, pink, Think Pink, underwear
The Biana bra and panty from Luca Fashion's Passion Pink lingerie collection. Enough blue to qualify for a Blue Monday post; just enough pink to start this week's theme.. and a few words about that:
I've thought quite seriously about this week's theme. I almost did it as far back as two Octobers ago. I usually don't do 'causes' though many may be worthy. This blog is not political. It's for those of us who enjoy lingerie, and enjoy beautiful photos of woman modeling it. But.. My girlfriend's Aunt is a breast cancer survivor. She has been healthy and in remission for about eight years, now. To say this woman is important to my girlfriend is an understatement. Next to her parents, this woman has been the most important friend and mentor in her life. And this was prior to her fight with breast cancer, not only because of it. So. October is known as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Pink Ribbons and the color Pink are commonly accepted to draw attention to a very important cause. Does the color alone make a great lingerie theme? I'd say yes. If it can also be a reminder to you to think about the topic, as long as you understand I'm not trying to trivialize it, I don't see that as a bad thing. (And I know some reading will note the anatomy covered by half of the lingerie sets featured and say this and other blogs like it certainly get their mileage from highlighting said anatomy). I'm not going to endorse any specific charities or organizations. You may have investigated some to which you're partial; good for you if you've taken the time. If not, no time like the present. There are resources all over the net you can read. There's a great resource in your own doctor, or breast cancer survivors in your own community. Or local organizations that could use your help. End of message; I hope you enjoy this week's posts.

May We Suggest A Marie Jo Desktop?

I've collected thousands of photos from all over the net for fufL, and I'll go through them from time to time looking for the best ones to post. I'm not sure how long I've had this one from from Marie Jo's Spring/Summer 2009 Greta collection, but it became my desktop about a week ago. Not only can I not believe I didn't get around to posting it until now, but it even stopped my girlfriend in her tracks in admiration when she saw it on my computer. Anyone who knows the name of the model and photographer, please feel free to leave them in the comments so I can credit them. And if you're looking for a great new desktop photo..

Adriana Lima Looks Like $2 Million In The 2010 Victoria's Fantasy Bra
0 comments 9:03 PM Posted by TOPLabels: $2 million, 2010, Adriana Lima, Bombshell, bra, diamonds, eyes, Fantasy, Fashion Show, Lingerie, underwear, Victoria's Secret
Hard to believe it's that time of year again already. There's a chill in the (North American) air, the leaves are starting to turn, stores are trying to figure out where to put all of their Christmas candy and garbage because the Halloween and Thanksgiving stuff is still clogging their aisles, and Victoria's Secret is gearing up for their 2010 Fashion Show, Tuesday, November 30th on CBS.
The opening salvo? The above photo of Angel Adriana Lima as the wearer of this year's VS Fantasy Bra (officially 'Bombshell Fantasy Bra'). She gets the honor this year of wearing $2 million in diamonds. You'd think they'd make a matching set of Bombshell Fantasy panties, but maybe they're trying to keep coasts down. Or, they realize she'd never be able to comfortably sit down if they did.
With Heidi Klum leaving her wings behind, and both Miranda Kerr and Doutzen Kroes pregnant and missing from this show, they'll have to be a bit more creative this year, but it does give models like future Transformers 3 star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley,Chanel Iman, Erin Heatherton a chance to shine a bit more along side the already stellar likes of Alessandra Ambrósio, Candice Swanepoel and Ms.Lima.
Edit for added info: This year's musical guests - Katy Perry and Akon!

Fiona Erdmann was a runner-up on Germany's Next Top Model. No offense to the judges, but if she was a runner-up, I'd hesitate to Google who the winner was; anymore beautiful than Ms. Erdmann and my screen may need replaced from the blinding sight. At least she ended up as a sometimes TV presenter and model for such as JungStil Lingerie

Caution, Too Much Color May Cause Dress To Drop
0 comments 7:40 AM Posted by TOPLabels: bikini, blue, bra, bralette, dress, garter belt, high heels, lace, Lingerie, nice ass, panties, red, stockings, suspenders, underwear, undressing, yellow
You may or may not have heard of the song Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off; Just a note of warning, in case it's your habit to get ready for the day early in the dark. While too much color may not cause blindness or your clothing to burst into flames, whatever you're wearing may decide to revolt. In that event, think of it as a great way to make new friends.
