No, despite the last post and this one, I'm not trying to outdo Ebert & Roeper (Richard Roeper and guest critic Kevin Smith gave Black Snake Moan two thumps up, btw) . It's just that, as you glance at Ms. Ricci's wardrobe in her new movie with Samuel L. Jackson, she does seem to qualify for a post on a lingerie and underwear blog..
I can't really say I'm all that crazy about the chain, though..
I'd try to recap the plot here, but as I said, this isn't a movie review site, and some people would only think I'd made it up, anyway. So, let's make one up!
Christina's character goes out for football. Part of the tryout is drinking 50 plastic cups of Gatorade. Despite being too poor to afford anything more than a cropped t-shirt and white cotton bikini panties, she makes the team (shoulder pads provided by scholarship).
She falls for the new kid in town, played by Justin Timberlake (Seriously - he's in the real damn movie!). A hot sex scene ensues, for which she's already conveniently undressed. Too bad she broke curfew; she's booted off the team.
She's broke and reduced to stealing tomatoes to eat..
Being the tomatoes are from Samuel L. Jackson's garden,
he gets a little pissed..
'I thought I killed all those MotherF*****g snakes on that MotherF******g plane!!'
Blam! Blam! Blam! Blam!
'Ok, I'm sorry; I got carried away.. It's just a flesh wound, but what insurance do you want me to put this through?'

Seriously, either this movie's going to be big, or one you can rent in 3 weeks if you're in the mood for something really cultish. It just depends on how the public take it.

Ms. Ricci will go on to produce more movies (she co-produced 2001's Prozac Nation) and almost certainly win an Oscar(tm, Sm, R, C, AMPAS - enough letters, already?) as Best Actress someday, but she may never top my favorite dialog she delivered in the original Addams Family movie when we were both kids, simply because she did it so damn well:

Wednesday: Yes.
Girl Scout: I only like all-natural foods and beverages, organically grown, with no preservatives. Are you sure they're real lemons?

Girl Scout: I'll tell you what. I'll buy a cup if you buy a box of my delicious Girl Scout cookies. Do we have a deal?
Wednesday: Are they made from real Girl Scouts?

I'd tell you what the plot of her next movie Penelope is about (produced by Reese Witherspoon, no less), but if you wouldn't believe the real plot of Black Snake Moan I'm not even going to try and explain this picture from it..
Honestly, I'd have to say she looks far better as herself.
